Abstract:
This supercharger drive mechanism is provided with an endless power transmission member that is looped between a rotary input shaft and a crankshaft extending from one side surface of a supercharger disposed between the V-banks of a V-type engine, and that transmits the crankshaft output to the rotary input shaft. The power transmission member is configured so as to be looped between the rotary input shaft and the crankshaft so that when the power transmission member rotates, the direction of the axial load exerted in the radial direction on the crankshaft by the power transmission member is upwards substantially along a central line between the V-banks.
