A supercharger (C) is provided with a return conduit 23c for returning to an intake conduit a part of gas having passed through a compressor impeller. The supercharger (C) is further provided with: an exhaust opening (25) which is provided in a wall (6e) of a compressor housing (6), the wall (6e) forming an exhaust conduit, and which opens the exhaust conduit to the outside of the compressor housing; an intake opening (27) which is provided in a wall (6f) of the compressor housing, the wall (6f) forming the intake conduit, and which opens the intake conduit to the outside of the compressor housing; and a return pipe (23) which has one end (23a) thereof connected to the exhaust opening and the other end (23b) thereof connected to the intake opening, and in which the return conduit is formed. The exhaust opening and the intake opening have a relationship such that, when the return pipe has been removed, the intake opening is visible from a position facing the exhaust opening.
