Abstract:
This supercharger 1 comprises a turbine housing 11 which houses a turbine rotor 12, a bearing housing 3 which rotatably supports a rotation shaft 2 to which the turbine rotor 12 is fixed, a variable capacity mechanism 30 which is housed in the turbine housing 11 and which surrounds the turbine rotor 12 and guides fluid to the turbine rotor 12, and a spring member 5 which is held from both sides in the axial direction along the rotation shaft 2 by the variable capacity mechanism 30 and the bearing housing 3. The variable capacity mechanism 30 comprises an inner peripheral part 35 which surrounds a through hole 30h where the turbine rotor 12 or the rotation shaft 2 is disposed, and an outer peripheral part 36 which is at a greater distance from the rotation shaft axis AX of the rotation shaft 2 in comparison to the inner peripheral part 35. The outer peripheral part 36 includes a first end surface 36a in contact with the spring member 5, and a second end surface 36b located on the rear side of the first end surface 36a and in contact with the turbine housing 11.
