This supercharging device comprises a rotatably driven shaft (14), a bearing (16) for rotatably supporting the shaft (14), a housing (15) for supporting the bearing (16), a compressor wheel (6) secured to a free-end side of the shaft (14) by the bearing (16), and a sealing part (23) for sealing the space between the shaft (14) and the housing (15) on the compressor wheel (6)-adjacent side of the bearing (16). Where the surface of the compressor wheel (6) that is nearer the bearing (16) is defined as the reverse surface, the surface farther from the bearing (16) is defined as the front surface, and the direction in which the central axis of the shaft (14) extends is defined as the axial direction, the reverse surface of the compressor wheel (6) is provided with a concave part (24) recessed farther toward the front surface than is the periphery of the reverse surface, and the concave part (24) and the sealing part (23) are made to overlap in the axial direction.
