Abstract:
A supercharging method for an internal combustion engine, the internal combustion engine (1) taking in gas and discharging gas during operation, intake gas and exhaust gas being connected via a draft tube (10), and the intake gas being driven, by using the kinetic energy of the exhaust gas and by means of the draft tube (10), to accelerate to flow into the internal combustion engine (1). Also disclosed is a supercharging apparatus for an internal combustion engine, comprising a draft tube (10), a gas inlet opening of the draft tube being close to a gas intake tube opening of the internal combustion engine, and a gas outlet opening of the draft tube being close to a gas exhaust tube opening of the internal combustion engine; the gas inlet and the gas outlet of the draft tube form duct casing structures with a gas intake tube (5) and a gas exhaust tube (2) of the internal combustion engine, respectively; the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine (1) is discharged from one duct of the duct casings, drives air in the other duct of the duct casings to accelerate and flow, is conducted via the draft tube (10), and drives air in the gas intake tube (5) of the internal combustion engine to flow into the internal combustion engine (1); the gas intake pressure of the internal combustion engine (1) is increased with no additional energy consumption or rotating components.
