Abstract:
A high magnetic field open type MRI system realizing safety operation of a superconducting magnet by suppressing electromagnetic interference of a gradient field coil and a high frequency field coil with a superconducting coil. In a static field generating magnet (102), a pair of cryostats (117) are coupled through a coupling tube (201) and disposed above and below a space (118) where a subject is placed while housing a superconducting coil (204) in containers (202, 203) filled with helium. The cryostat (117) is attached with an emergency demagnetization unit (120) for demagnetizing the field, and a measuring unit (121) for monitoring the liquid level of helium, and their signal cables are connected with the internal circuit of the static field generating magnet (102) through a filter circuit (122). Even if the gradient field coil or the high frequency field coil of the MRI system is driven, a high frequency current being induced is interrupted by the filter circuit (122) and flows through the outer case of the cryostat (117) to a ground point (123) without having any effect on the internal circuit of the cryostat (117).
