Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET DEVICE AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS IN WHICH SAME IS USED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/150819
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of realizing: a magnet device in which the direction of the magnetic field at a position in a superconducting wire in a superconducting coil can be made approximately parallel to the wide surface of a tape having high electric conduction performance, and in which a stronger magnetic field can be generated, even without using a superconducting wire that has superior electric conduction performance or without increasing the direction of the axial length of the magnet device in the superconducting coil, the superconducting coil being obtained by winding the superconducting wire, such as a wire shaped as a tape, in which the electric conduction performance such as critical current is anisotropic with respect to the direction of the surrounding magnetic field; and an MRI device in which the magnet device is used. To solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention pertains to a superconducting coil obtained by winding a superconducting wire approximately into the form of a solenoid, to a superconducting magnet in which the same is used, or to a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus in which the same is used, wherein a bulk, tape, or thin-film superconducting substance is formed into an approximately cylindrical form substantially coaxial with the axial direction of the approximate solenoid and is disposed on an internal periphery, external periphery, or lateral surface in proximity to the superconducting coil that constitutes the superconducting magnet.
