Abstract:
Provided is a superconducting magnet device (20) comprising: a superconducting coil (main coil (1)) in which a superconducting wire material is wound; and a persistent current switch (PCS (2)) electrically connected in parallel with the superconducting coil in relation to an excitation power supply (4) for a superconducting coil. The excitation power supply (4) is electrically connected to the superconducting coil and the persistent current switch through a current lead (8). The persistent current switch is provided with a PCS heater winding (11) and a PCS heater power supply (12) for transitioning from a super-conduction state to a normal conduction state and is configured such that current introduced to the PCS heater winding (11) from the PCS heater power supply (12) flows to the heater through at least a portion of the current lead (8).
