Abstract:
A superconducting magnet is provided with: superconducting connection parts, to which one superconducting wire that is provided with a core containing Mg and B and a metal sheath which covers the core, and another superconducting wire, are connected; superconducting coils; and a persistent current switch. The superconducting connection parts are provided with a securing member to which the first-mentioned superconducting wire is secured, an adhesive which secures the first-mentioned superconducting wire to the securing member, and superconductors which come into contact with the core of the first-mentioned superconducting wire and the core of the other superconducting wire. For an end face of the first-mentioned superconducting wire, a metal sheath is disposed on the outer periphery of the core, and the adhesive is disposed on the outer periphery of the metal sheath.
