Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain, with use of a ribbon-like superconducting wire material, a superconducting magnet having a highly uniform magnetic field. This superconducting magnet is formed from an arrangement of a plurality of coil groups, each group comprising a plurality of pancake coils 10i formed using a ribbon-like superconducting wire material 3 and arranged along a coil Z-axis 2 as a center axis. The super conducting magnetic is characterized in that the in-group variance in coil thickness of the pancake coils in a coil group is greater for a first coil group 10A positioned toward the coil Z-axis center Z0 side than a second coil group 10B positioned toward the end sides of the coil Z-axis.
