Abstract:
The invention relates to a Josephson junction superconducting quantum bit device having a charge as a first main degree of freedom assigned to writing and a phase as a second main degree of freedom assigned to reading. The inventive device comprises a Cooper pair box (110) with first and second Josephson junctions (101, 102) defining a charge island and closing on a superconducting loop. A readout circuit comprises a readout Josephson junction (105) which is inserted in the superconducting loop, with Josephson energy which is at lest 50 times greater than the Josephson energy of each of the first and second Josephson junctions (101, 102).
