Abstract:
This superconducting wire rod (10) contains the following: a substrate (1) that has a first principal surface (1a) and a second principal surface (1b) on the opposite side from the first principal surface (1a); and a superconductor layer (5) laid out above the first principal surface (1a) of the substrate (1). The superconductor layer (5) is provided so as to cover at least parts of the widthwise side surfaces of the substrate (1).
