Abstract:
Disclosed is a superconductivity stabilizing material which is used for a superconducting wire, which is formed of a copper material containing 3-100 ppm by mass, in total, of one or more types of additive elements selected from among Ca, Sr, Ba, and rare-earth elements with the remainder being Cu and unavoidable impurities, and which is configured to have: a total concentration of the unavoidable impurities, excluding the gas components of O, H, C, N, and S, within a range of 5-100 ppm by mass; a semi-softening temperature of at most 200°C; a Vickers hardness of at least 55 Hv; and a residual resistance ratio (RRR) of 50-500.
