Abstract:
Provided is a superconductor cable wherein power transmission efficiency is maximized and the size of the cable itself made more compact by emphasizing the longitudinal magnetic field of the superconductor. The superconductor cable (1), which transmits power using superconductors, comprises a conductive part (4), said conductive part comprising superconductor material arranged spirally in either a positive or a negative angle with respect to a reference direction when the longitudinal direction of the superconductor cable (1) is set as the reference direction, and a plurality of layers, wherein the layers are made to have successively different spiraling angles with respect to the reference direction, from an innermost layer (2) towards an outermost layer (3), and a magnetic field is generated, by a current flowing through the conductive part (4), in the same direction as the current.
