Abstract:

A superconductor magnet comprises: a pair of superconductor coils (110); two heat shields (130) which encase the circumference of each of the superconductor coils (110) of the pair thereof; two vacuum tanks (140) which house each of the two heat shields (130) and which face one another mutually sandwiching a prescribed space (20) therebetween; a magnetic shield (180) which covers at least a portion of the two vacuum tanks (140); and two location adjustment mechanisms (190) which location adjustably support each of the two vacuum tanks (140). The two location adjustment mechanisms (190) change the distribution of a static magnetic field which is formed by the pair of superconductor coils (110) in the prescribed space (20) by adjusting the relative location relation between the two vacuum tanks (140).
