Title:
SUPERELASTIC ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/063768
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a superelastic alloy containing: 8.0-20.0 mass% of essential additive elements of Au and at least one of Cr and Mo, and an optional additive element of Ta; and, as the remaining portion, Ti and unavoidable impurities, wherein the Cr equivalent calculated on the basis of the following formula representing the relationship among the Cr content, the Mo content, and the Ta content, is within the range of larger than 5.0 but smaller than 8.0. The alloy is an Ni-free superelastic alloy, and has good X-ray imaging properties. Therefore, the alloy is suitable for use in the medical field. Cr equivalent = [Cr content (mass%)] + ([Mo content (mass%)]/1.7) + ([Ta content (mass%)]/15)
