Abstract:
A superexpansive rotary engine having a rotor and a rotor housing, the rotor being rotated within the inner wall of the rotor housing. A gap between the rotor and the inner wall of the rotor housing defines an engine chamber. A plurality of extensible sealing blades in the rotor are mounted in substantially equally spaced positions on the circle of the rotor to elastically slide along the inner wall of the rotor housing to air-tightly separate the rotor engine chamber. As a result, the engine wherein suction, compression and exhaust of combustion gases are effected has a compression chamber and an expansion chamber, each being defined by two adjacent sealing blades, and the expansion chamber is larger than the compression chamber in maximum capacity.
