Abstract:
A device (20) is provided with: roll holding members (22) for holding a roll (5) of printing paper and having roll supply shafts (25); shaft holding members (23) for rotatably holding the shafts (25); and helical torsion springs (24) for pressing the shaft holding members (23) toward the shafts (25). The shaft holding members (23) can pivot about shafts (30). The members (23) are pressed against the roll holding members (22) by the springs (24) to brake the rotation of the roll holding members (22) and the roll (5). As a result, tension is applied to the printing paper fed from the roll (5). When mounting the roll (5), the roll supply shafts (25) press on second sloped surfaces (23c-2) to cause the shaft holding members (23) to pivot. When removing the roll (5), the roll supply shafts (25) press on first sloped surfaces (23c-1) to cause the shaft holding members (23) to pivot.
