Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a novel and improved support device with which it is possible to more effectively reduce the size of the device while limiting restrictions on device position. [Solution] Provided is a support device provided with: a drive motor; a linking mechanism capable, as a result of transmission of a motive force output from the drive motor, of expanding and contracting in accordance with the motive force; and a pair of rotating bodies as a speed change mechanism for outputting the motive force to the linking mechanism at a reduction ratio corresponding to the position of the linking mechanism. At least a portion of the linking mechanism forms a trapezoidal linking mechanism.
