Abstract:
The present invention relates to a synthesis method of high purity cyclic olefin polymers and a supported quencher for the same, wherein a synthesis method of high purity cyclic olefin polymers as one embodiment of the invention comprises: a ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) step for performing ROMP of cyclic olefin monomers in the presence of Grubbs catalysts; a cross-metathesis step for reacting the reactants of the ROMP step with the supported quencher; and a filtration step for separating and filtering insoluble contents from the reactants of the cross-metathesis step.
