Abstract:
The present invention provides a surface-emitting laser capable of improving heat-dissipating properties. A surface-emitting laser according to the present invention comprises: a semiconductor multi-layer film reflecting mirror; a reflecting mirror; an active layer that is disposed between the reflecting mirror and the semiconductor multi-layer film reflecting mirror; and a metal film that is provided on a rear surface, of the semiconductor multi-layer film reflecting mirror, that is a surface on the side opposite the active layer side, or that is such that a portion thereof is provided on a side, opposite the active layer side, of a virtual plane including the rear surface, and another portion thereof is provided inside or at the periphery of the semiconductor multi-layer film reflecting mirror. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a surface-emitting laser capable of improving heat-dissipating properties.
