Abstract:
In order to bring the nitriding potential in a processing furnace close to the target nitriding potential, the amounts of multiple furnace gases being introduced into the furnace are individually controlled by effecting a change in the ratio of flow rates of the multiple furnace gases being introduced while keeping the total amount of the multiple furnace gases being introduced constant in accordance with a target nitriding potential and a nitriding potential in the processing furnace as calculated by an in-furnace nitriding potential calculation device.
