Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress uneven illuminance in an output light surface of a direct-lit surface light source device. [Solution] A surface light source device (20) is provided with a light source (22), and an illuminance distribution adjusting plate (40) that faces the light source (22) and adjusts the illuminance distribution of light emitted from the light source (22). The illuminance distribution adjusting plate (40) is provided with a base material (41) having formed therein a plurality of light transmitting holes (45) that transmit light. The base material (41) includes one or more partitioned areas (Aa). In each of the partitioned areas (Aa), the partitioned area (Aa) is further divided into a plurality of regularly arranged element areas (Ab). Each of the element areas (Ab) has a hexagonal shape in plan view, and, at least when projected onto the light source (22) in a direction normal to the base material (41), one light transmitting hole (45) is formed in each of the element areas (Ab) adjacent to the element area (Ab) overlapping the light source (22).
