Abstract:
A surface light source device (200) is equipped with a surface-emitting light guide plate (4), a first light source (8), a second light beam (91), and a light path changing member (6). The surface-emitting light guide plate (4) has a light-emitting face, a back face, and multiple side faces connecting the edges of the light-emitting face and the edges of the back face; in addition, the surface-emitting light guide plate causes light beams (81, 91), which enter from a light-incident face (41a) which is any one of the aforementioned multiple side faces, to be emitted from the light-emitting face. The first light source (8) is arranged opposing the light-incident face (41a) and emits a first light beam (81) toward the light-incident face (41a). A second light source (9) emits a second light beam (91). The light path changing member (6) guides the second light beam (91) emitted from the second light source (9) to the light-incident face (41a). Both the first light beam (81) and the second light beam (91) enter the surface-emitting light guide plate (4) from the light-incident face (41a).
