Abstract:
Provided are: a light-emitting device including a lens capable of effectively distributing light radiated at a wide angle from a light source while broadening directivity of the light source; a surface light source comprising this light-emitting device; and a liquid crystal display device. The surface light source (7) is configured by a plurality of the light-emitting devices (1) being arranged in the center thereof. The light-emitting devices (1) radiate light using an optical axis (A) as the center, and comprise the light source (2) and the lens (3) that radially expands the light from the light source (2). The lens (3) comprises a reflective section (34) in part of a bottom surface (33).
