Abstract:
The present invention provides a surface-modified nanodiamond which has an N-substituted or unsubstituted amino group that has excellent reactivity with other compounds, and which exhibits excellent dispersibility in a dispersion medium or in a resin. A surface-modified nanodiamond according to the present invention has a surface-modifying group on the surface of a nanodiamond particle; and the surface-modifying group contains a group represented by formula (1). (In formula (1), the symbols are as defined in the description.)
