Abstract:
A surface mount inductor according to the present disclosure comprises: a resin molded body which contains a metal magnetic powder; at least one coil which is embedded in the resin molded body such that at least a part of each lead-out end at both ends of the coil is exposed from the surface of the resin molded body; and an external terminal which is formed astride the exposed surface of the lead-out end and a metal magnetic powder exposed part that is formed at least around the exposed surface. The external terminal comprises at least: a first plating layer that is formed astride the metal magnetic powder exposed part and the exposed surface of the lead-out end; and a conductive paste layer that is formed on the first plating layer and is composed of a solidified conductive paste. Consequently, the present invention is capable of providing a surface mount inductor which comprises an external terminal having high connection reliability.
