Abstract:
In a surface polishing apparatus wherein a plurality of grindstones having bolt insert holes are placed on a fixed lapping board via a base so that the working surfaces of the grindstones form the same plane, the surfaces, to which the grindstones are fixed, of the base are provided with grooves communicating with the lower end portions of the bolt insert holes and the side surfaces of the base, these grooves and grindstones forming discharge ports for a polishing liquid and a coolant. According to such a surface polishing apparatus, the grindstones are used wastelessly, and the service life of the grindstones can be prolonged, the operation efficiency of the grindstones being improved.
