Abstract:
Provided is a surface protective film with which there is no increase in adhesive force with respect to an optical film requiring high quality, no contamination of an adherend, and no scratch defects such as depressions or deformations in the adherend. The protective film is formed from a three-layer laminate of an adhesive layer, a back surface layer, and a middle layer. The adhesive layer is formed from an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, an ethylene/methyl methacrylate copolymer, or a mixture thereof. The middle layer is formed from primarily a polyethylene resin having a density of 0.870 to 0.935 g/cm3, an ethylene/methyl methacrylate copolymer, or a mixture thereof. The back surface layer is formed from polypropylene resin and low-density polyethylene. The surface roughness of the back surface layer is 0.6 µm or greater in terms of a calculated average roughness (Ra), and 4 µm or greater in terms of a ten-point average roughness (Rz).
