Abstract:

A surface sheet for use in the surface of an absorbing article contacting with a skin, wherein a first non-woven fabric (1) and a second non-woven fabric (2) are laminated on each other, and are partially thermally fused to form a fused portion (4), wherein in the first non-woven fabric (1), the part except the fused portion (4) forms convex portions (5) projecting to the skin of a person wearing the absorbing article, and many convex portions (5) are discontinuously formed in one direction (X direction) in the plane direction of the surface sheet and in the direction (Y direction) intersecting at a right angle with said one direction, wherein the inside of each convex portion (5) is filled with staple fibers (3) and the fused portion (4) is substantially free of a staple fiber (3), and wherein each convex portion (5) in the surface sheet has fiber densities in the following relationship: the first non-woven fabric (1) < staple fiber (3) < the second non-woven fabric (2).
