Abstract:
The present invention provides surface-treated spherical calcium carbonate particles for a cosmetic, having a hydrous silica coating on the surface of spherical calcium carbonate particles having a volume median diameter in a range of 0.5 to 20 μm and further having a silicone oil coating thereon. Surface-treated spherical calcium carbonate particles for a cosmetic of such description can be obtained by forming the hydrous silica coating on the surface of spherical calcium carbonate particles and then forming the silicone oil coating according to the present invention.
