Abstract:
A surge protection circuit, comprising a bidirectional voltage suppressor, and a thyristor type surge suppression unit connected with the bidirectional voltage suppressor in parallel; a first end of the bidirectional voltage suppressor is connected with a first end of the thyristor type surge suppression unit; a second end of the bidirectional voltage suppressor is connected with a second end of the thyristor type surge suppression unit; a break-over voltage or a breakdown voltage from the first end to the second end of the thyristor type surge suppression unit is larger than a clamping voltage from the first end to the second end of the bidirectional voltage suppressor; a break-over voltage from the second end to the first end of the thyristor type surge suppression unit is lower than a clamping voltage from the second end to the first end of the bidirectional voltage suppressor.
