Abstract:
[Problem] To assist a doctor in determining a region to be resected when conducting ablative surgery on a tubular organ. [Solution] Provided is a surgical assistance device (3) equipped with: an organ region extraction means (33) that extracts a tubular organ region from a three-dimensional image (D) obtained by imaging a tubular organ and blood vessels that control the tubular organ; a region of interest setting means (34) that sets a region of interest inside the tubular organ region; a blood vessel region extraction means (35) that extracts a blood vessel region that controls the tubular organ from the three-dimensional image; a branching structure extraction means (36) that extracts branching structures of blood vessels from the blood vessel region; and a control blood vessel identification means (37) that identifies a control blood vessel region that controls the region of interest inside the blood vessel region by using positional relationships between terminal points of the branching structures and the region of interest.
