Abstract:
The present invention relates to a surgical scalpel having a movable guard. The said scalpel includes a blade, a guard and a handle. The said blade can be securely attached to the head of the said handle. The said guard is covered outside the said handle. The longitudinal and transverse slots provided inside the said guard can be respectively engaged with the longitudinal and transverse ribs of the said handle, thereof the said guard can slide relative to the said handle between a guard position where the said guard prevents inadvertent access to the blade and an exposing position where the said guard exposes the blade to the required length for use.
