Abstract:
A surgical system (1) is provided with: a treatment tool (30) comprising an insertion tube (39) in which a power-receiving unit (31) is arranged; a trocar (10) comprising a power-transmitting unit (11); and a power source unit (20) comprising a power source (21) that outputs power to the trocar (10). The treatment tool (30) comprises a bar code (38) that is arranged more to the tip side of the insertion tube (39) than the power-receiving unit (31) and that is an identifier that indicates information regarding the treatment tool (30). An information detection unit (18) that obtains information related to the treatment tool (30) by detecting the bar code (38) is arranged on the trocar (10). When the inserted treatment tool (30) is the appropriate treatment tool, the control mode of the power source (21) changes from a first standby mode in which it is not possible to output drive power to a second standby mode in which it is possible to output drive power.
