Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to avoid issuing unnecessary warnings regarding obstacles when a work vehicle transitions from being stopped to starting to travel. When the shift lever of a vehicle 1 is in a forward position, a forward area relative to the rear wheel axle RS of the vehicle 1 is set as a detection area FE1, whereas when the shift lever is in a backward position, a backward area relative to the front wheel axle FS of the vehicle is set as a detection area RE1. Then if it is determined that the vehicle is stopped, the presence of an obstacle is detected for on the basis of the output signal of a surroundings sensing sensor 10, and an alarm output operation is performed if an obstacle is located in the set detection area.
