Abstract:
This surveillance assisting system comprises: a surveillance-object coordinate estimation unit for estimating the spatial coordinates of a surveillance object included in a captured image, on the basis of a camera's spatial coordinates, azimuth, angle of elevation, and angle of view, which are entered at the time of image capture; and a surveillance-object distribution map generation unit that adds, to a map 81c and a side view 82c, icons i1, i2 representing the surveillance object, at locations based on the spatial coordinates of said surveillance object, and that outputs the same to a display device.
