Abstract:
A suspension device for suspending a member to be supported above a support, in which a sphere (2) is rotatably retained on the first constituent member (A) disposed on either the support or the member to be supported, and the second constituent member (B) is so supported as to be brought into slidable contact with the recess (3) of the second member (B) disposed in contact with the other side of the member to be supported or the support. A supporting cylinder (11) is slidably engaged with the outside of the first member (A), and is hinged with the cylinder (11) and the second member (B) by a parallel linkage. The cylinder (11) is pulled to one side by a pulling unit, the sphere (2) is brought into pressure contact with the recess (3) of the second member (B), and the member to be supported is stably retained at the predetermined position on the support by utilizing the radial force between the sphere and the recess. This suspension device can be used as the suspension device for the car body of a transport engine or a building structure.
