Abstract:
This suspension device is interposed between a vehicle body and a vehicle wheel, and is provided with: a buffer; a suspension spring; a tube member that houses the buffer and the suspension spring; a sealing member that occludes the opening at one side of the tube member and holds the piston rod of the buffer; a damping force adjustment unit that electrically adjusts the resistance when a working fluid passes through a passage interconnecting two chambers compartmentalized/formed within a cylinder by means of the piston in the buffer; and a reaction force adjustment unit that adjusts the reaction force of the suspension spring. The working fluid is a magnetorheological fluid of which the viscosity changes by means of the action of a magnetic field. The damping force adjustment unit is provided with: a coil that generates a magnetic field at the passage; and wiring that electrifies the coil and passes through the piston rod and the sealing member. The reaction force adjustment unit is attached to the sealing member.
