Abstract:
The purpose of an embodiment of the present invention is to stably provide a gold-coated silver nano-plates having a relatively small particle size while having a thick gold layer. According to the present invention, gold-coated silver nano-plates each having a relatively small particle size while having a thick gold layer can be stably produced, by, when coating a silver nano-plate with gold, using a complexing agent for gold ions and adjusting the concentration of silver to a certain value or less and the concentration of gold to a certain value or more so that the concentrations of silver and gold satisfy a predetermined relationship. In addition, the purpose of another embodiment of the present invention is to provide an immunochromatography kit using gold-coated silver nano-plates having high oxidation resistance. The immunochromatography kit according to the present invention for detecting a test substance in a sample includes gold-coated silver nano-plates that each have a gold layer having an average thickness of more than 1.0 nm and that each carry a specific binding substance for detecting the test substance.
