Abstract:

A swallowing training instrument 100 is provided with: a breathing detection unit 116a for detecting a breathing motion of a subject; a swallowing induction unit 116c for giving a trigger for the induction of swallowing to the subject on the basis of the detection result coming from the breathing detection unit 116a; a swallowing detection unit 116d for detecting the fact that a swallowing motion is made by the subject; and a judgement output unit 116e for determining whether or not the swallowing motion detected by the swallowing detection unit 116d is made at a proper timing for the breathing motion detected by the breathing detection unit 116a and then outputting information showing the result of the judgement to the outside.
