Abstract:
A swash plate-type compressor comprises: a housing equipped with a cylinder block on the inside; a driving shaft rotatably coupled to the housing and defining an oil passage; a swash plate coupled to the driving shaft so as to rotate with the driving shaft and arranged inside the housing; a plurality of pistons causing aspiration, compression, and discharge of a coolant while performing reciprocal movement in correspondence to the rotation of the swash plate; a frontal head coupled to the front side of the housing; a rear head coupled to the rear side of the housing and forming a discharge port; an oil separator, installed on the discharge port of the rear head, for separating oil mixed into the coolant; an oil reservoir, provided at the bottom part of the oil separator, for storing oil separated by the oil separator; and an oil chamber which is connected to the oil reservoir through an oil transport passage and is formed at a position on the rear head corresponding to the oil passage on the driving shaft. The bottom end of the oil reservoir is positioned lower than the bottom end of the oil chamber, and the oil transport passage comprises an upstream passage extending laterally from the bottom end of the oil reservoir, a connecting passage connected to the upstream passage, and a downstream passage extending upward at a tilt from the connecting passage to be connected to the oil chamber.
