Abstract:

A swing arm device for an electric two- or three-wheeled vehicle comprising a battery and a charger which are provided to the swing arm of the electric vehicle, wherein the battery and the charger are reduced in the number of parts and in weight and are compactly mounted. A swing arm device for an electric two- or three-wheeled vehicle, comprising: a swing arm (30) having one end which is connected to a pivot shaft and the other end which supports the rear wheel (WR) or the rear wheels (WR); an electric motor (M) disposed at the other end of the swing arm (30) and driving the rear wheel (WR) or the rear wheels (WR); and a battery (56) for supplying electric power to the electric motor (M). The battery (56) and a charger (200) for charging the battery (56) are built-in within the swing arm (30).
