Abstract:
This swinging crib comprises a bed body (12) on which an infant sleeps and a base (14) for swingably supporting the bed body (12), the base (14) being disposed below the bed body (12). The base (14) is provided with a columnar lower frame member (16) disposed on a floor and a columnar upper frame member (15) that is provided within the lower frame member (16) with coil springs (34) interposed therebetween and can be extended from and retracted into an opening at the top of the lower frame member (16). The bed body (12) is placed on the upper frame member (15) of the base (14) and provided with a cover part (42) for covering the upper frame member (15). The upper frame member (15) has on the outer surface thereof rollers (36) that are in contact with the inner surface of the lower frame member (16). The rollers (36) rotate in contact with the inner surface of the lower frame member (16) as the upper frame member (15) extends from or retracts into the lower frame member (16). The bed body (12) is provided with railing (40) having a predetermined height on a floor panel (38). Below the railing (40), the cover part (42) covers the entire upper frame member (15) and a portion of the lower frame member (16) below the opening (22) at the top thereof.
