Abstract:
Provided is a switch device comprising: a knob 10 that is provided with click sections 11e, 11f and operated by an operator; a housing 20 rockably supporting the knob 10; a detection electrode 31 that is provided to the knob 10 and detects proximity of or contact by the fingers of the operator; a terminal electrode 32 that is provided to the click sections 11e, 11f and outputs the electrical signal of the detection electrode 31 from the knob; an elastic electrical connection body 40 that is a conductor having elasticity whereby biasing force is applied to the click sections 11e, 11f and that is electrically connected to the terminal electrode 32 while in contact therewith as a result of the biasing force; and a control unit 70 that is electrically connected with the detection electrode 31 via the elastic electrical connection body 40 and detects the capacitance of the detection electrode 31.
