Abstract:
Provided is a switch element that can safely open an electric circuit in response to abnormalities such as wetting with water and leakage of liquid from a battery. The switch element has: a first conductor 2 that is connected to an external circuit and that has a relatively high ionization tendency; and a second conductor 3 that is arranged near the first conductor 2 and that has a relatively lower ionization tendency than the first conductor 2. A reaction part 5 that electrically corrodes the first conductor 2 is formed from a liquid that is between the first and second conductors 2, 3.
