Abstract:
Provided is a thin switch (1) having a small depth and a small floor area. The switch (1) is provided with: a box-shaped base (11) having a pair of stationary contact points (22, 28) disposed on the inner surface (11b) thereof; a movable contact piece (31) supported in a pivotable manner along the inner surface (11b) of the base (11) and always connected to the common stationary contact point (28) which is one of the stationary contact points; an elastic member (41) supported in a pivotable manner along the inner surface (11b) of the base (11) and pressing the movable contact piece (31); a push button (51) supported in a reciprocatable manner along the inner surface (11b) of the base (11) and causing the movable contact piece (31) to pivot; and a cover (61) for covering the base (11). The movable contact piece (31) is mounted to the base (11) so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis, which is perpendicular to the inner surface (11b), between a conducting position at which the movable contact piece (31) is connected to the other stationary contact point (stationary signal contact point) (22) and an interrupted position at which the movable contact piece (31) is not connected to the other stationary contact point (22).
