Abstract:
A switched reluctance motor device using constant current control with which circuit loss of power is reduced and efficiency is improved, and regeneration (power generation) until stopping of the rotation of the rotor is possible. This motor device is equipped with a commutation circuit 20 that controls to a constant current the current flowing in the motor coils by supplying/cutting off current from a constant-current power source 10. The commutation circuit 20 is equipped with switches for supplying/cutting off current to the coil 32 of each phase, and recovery diodes D1, D2, and D3 connected from the connection point of the negative-electrode side of the coil of each phase and the switches SA, SB, and SC to the positive-electrode terminal side of the constant-current power source 10. The coil of each phase is connected between the positive-electrode terminal and the negative-electrode terminal of the constant-current power source 10 via the switches, and the switches are provided only on the negative-electrode side of the coils. The commutation circuit 20 performs a commutation operation so as to recover and reuse residual magnetic energy in a coil by superposing the energy, via the recovery diodes, onto the next coil to be excited, when the motor is driven and during regeneration, and, during regeneration, to charge a battery 10B or a capacitor with the current supplied to the coil and the residual magnetic energy.
