A switchgear connector in which an electric apparatus being connected is provided with a contact terminal for interconnecting electric apparatuses associated with a switchgear including bus conductors, a first electric apparatus is provided with a tubular insulator having inner circumferential wall surface surrounding a first contact terminal and decreasing in diameter gradually from the open end toward the closed end, and a second electric apparatus is provided with a columnar insulator supporting a second contact terminal at the forward end thereof and having outer circumferential wall surface tapered to decrease in diameter gradually toward the forward end thereof in conformity with the inner circumferential wall surface of the tubular insulator. When the columnar insulator is inserted into the tubular insulator, the first and second contact terminals contact electrically each other with the outer circumferential wall surface touching the inner circumferential wall surface tightly.
