Abstract:
The present application provides a switching based modulation and coding scheme (MCS) processing method and apparatus, and a base station. In the present application, a source base station can send a reference uplink measurement quantity and a reference downlink measurement quantity to a target base station, the target base station determines a reference MCS before a terminal switches to the target base station, or the source base station maps a reference MCS according to the reference uplink measurement quantity and the reference downlink measurement quantity, and sends the reference MCS to the target base station The target base station receives the reference MCS before the terminal switches to the target base station, and therefore the target base station can pre-determine the reference MCS and after the terminal switches to the target base station, uses the predetermined reference MCS in a timely manner, thereby avoiding the problem that an MCS cannot be determined in a timely manner, reducing the packet loss ratio of data transmission, and improving data transmission rate.
